Equipment Maintenance Helper JOB SUMMARY Join our team as an Equipment Maintenance Helper in a stable manufacturing environment where you'll play a crucial role in keeping production running smoothly. This Equipment Maintenance Helper position offers hands-on experience with diverse machinery and equipment while working Monday through Friday with a supportive maintenance team. RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect, maintain, and repair manufacturing and metal processing equipment to ensure optimal performance Operate and inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions as an Equipment Maintenance Helper Repair and replace damaged parts, test and adjust components, and ensure compliance with safety standards Use diagnostic tools, welding torches, jacks, hoists, and hand tools for various maintenance tasks Perform preventive maintenance schedules and document all repairs completed Maintain accurate lockout/tagout logs and safety documentation Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding parts needs and repair orders Work independently to resolve practical problems and complete assigned training programs Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical equipment including 120V, 240V, and 480V circuits Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment Experience with hydraulic systems and electrical/mechanical equipment Basic math, computer, and mechanical skills Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical/hydraulic schematics Knowledge of hand tools and power tools operation Intermediate verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with machinery vibration analysis and troubleshooting Familiarity with furnaces, chemical processing lines, and machining centers Welding experience and certifications Previous Equipment Maintenance Helper or similar maintenance role experience Experience working in production facility environments Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities SCHEDULE & SHIFT Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Overtime and weekend work available when needed for additional earning opportunities. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This Equipment Maintenance Helper role requires the ability to work in various environments including production facilities and outdoors in extreme temperatures. You must be comfortable working at elevated heights, climbing, bending, and kneeling. The position involves exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and fumes.
