Welder/Fitter

Job Summary

Join our North Salt Lake metal fabrication team as a Welder/Fitter earning $24+ per hour with immediate start available. We specialize in specialty truck bodies and process equipment for the commercial explosives industry worldwide, offering steady Monday-Friday day shift work with overtime opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Weld stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel assemblies using MIG/TIG welding techniques
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Assemble and fit fabricated components for specialty truck bodies and industrial equipment
• Operate fabrication equipment including shears, brakes, band saws, grinders, and overhead cranes
• Work in various environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
• Follow ATMI welding procedures and customer specifications
• Cross-train in other fabrication areas as needed
• Support shop supervisor and collaborate with welding team

What You Bring

Required:
• High school diploma or trade school certification
• 1-3 years of welding experience
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel

Preferred:
• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience
• Multi-metal welding capabilities (aluminum, carbon steel)
• Previous fabrication shop experience

Schedule & Shift

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay & Compensation

$24+ per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities available
